What are freons
Chlorofluoro compounds of Methane and Ethane are collectively known as freons, Geeta extremely stable low boiling non inflammable non toxic non corrosive Italy liquefiable and highly unreactive compounds,which are stable under high pressure and temperature.
Uses of freons
Freons are used as refrigerant in refrigerators and air conditioners and hence is the name freons.
These have also been used extensively as propellants for aerosols and foams to spray out deodorant, cleanser shaving cream hairspray and insecticides
